20092 stands in Bescot Up Yard with a collection of four Swindon-bound Class 08s. This shot was taken in early June
1985. Without any notes I can only piece together the identities of the shunters. Behind 20092 is Springs Branch's 08631, off to
Swindon for dual-brake fitting. It subsequently survived in traffic until 1992 before entering preservation. It's now with Locomotive
Services at Crewe. The next loco is 08266, late of Shirebrook. This is another survivor, having been acquired from Swindon by the
Keighley & Worth Valley railway, and now nearly 40 years in their care. The third one appears to be another recent withdrawal, namely
08304, a long-time Springs Branch loco that was briefly allocated to Lincoln for its last couple of months in traffic. That one didn't
escape from Swindon, and was broken up there. Unfortunately the number of the fourth loco is illegible.
